Air Products (NYSE: APD), a world-leading industrial gases company and a global leader in hydrogen, is taking part in the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2023) from November 5-10 in Shanghai, marking the company’ fourth consecutive year of exhibiting in the world’s largest import-themed expo to support China’s high-quality development and sustainability goals.

Under this year’s theme "Together, Realizing a Sustainable Future," Air Products will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of decarbonization technologies and solutions for the energy transition and industrial transformation. The company is among over 3,400 exhibitors and an unprecedented number of nearly 290 world- and industry-leading companies.

“CIIE is a successful and pivotal platform that promotes openness and cooperation, and facilitates mutual benefit,” said Air Products’ China President Saw Choon Seong. "Our fruitful participation in previous expos has enabled Air Products to forge deeper relationships with local governments and partners, supporting them to accelerate their clean energy transition initiatives. Air Products remains committed to the country’s high-quality development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and beyond, as well as the realization of the carbon peak and neutrality goals.”

During the six-day expo, Air Products will celebrate the opening of its Asia Hydrogen Application Technology Center located in Haiyan, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, which was announced at CIIE 2020. The company will also sign strategic cooperation agreements with local partners to further explore collaboration opportunities on hydrogen, hydrogen fueling stations and hydrogen medium- and heavy-duty trucks to enable zero-emission logistics, and on industrial and specialty gases to drive productivity and sustainability.

Air Products’ booth 3B2-01 is located at the Low-Carbon Energy and Environmental Protection Technology Zone of the Technology and Equipment Pavilion in Hall 3. Key highlights include:

The company is at the forefront of liquid hydrogen (LHY) solutions and is building China’s first commercial-scale LHY production facility in Haiyan. It also has worked to advance local LHY industry standards and local production of LHY storage tanks in its Global Cryogenic Equipment Design and Manufacturing Facility in Shanghai. During the show, the company will display an integrated hydrogen model showing its leading expertise in the production of low- and zero-carbon hydrogen and work across all facets of the hydrogen value chain, including production, liquefaction, transport, storage, refueling and applications to decarbonize medium- and heavy-duty transportation, industrial sectors and power generation.

Sustainable offerings to reduce energy consumption, lower emissions and increase efficiency, including total solutions for industrial parks using build-own-operate models and integrated advanced technologies across the value chain, covering air separation, gasification, carbon capture and utilization, as well as green hydrogen to accelerate industrial decarbonization, transformation and upgrade; integrated oxygen combustion solutions for energy-intensive industries equipped with the company’s proprietary burners; and Air Products Membrane Solutions utilizing imported membrane separators that can separate carbon dioxide (CO2) from biogas to generate upgraded biomethane to support clean energy utilization.

Flagship hydrogen and gasification projects selected to exhibit in the hall: The company’s project to support the clean and high-efficiency use of coal in Inner Mongolia has been chosen as a key foreign investment project to exhibit in CIIE 2023's China Pavilion, and the Haiyan project is featured at the Permanent CIIE Culture Exhibition Hall.
